Another exhibition

The project builds on the architecture of the checas: psycho torture prisons that put to the limit the habitability of the space, being quite useful and effective for psychological torture.

From this architectural landmark, Albert Ibanyez, tries to find a proposal that puts to the limit exposure and spread of exhibition space. The result is a new concept of space created as a result of an artistic context. This is not to prevent access to the room but plays with the contradictions of disabling the room by using it to the maximum for the understanding of the concept.

The intervention sought to limit, almost eliminate the space, but also acquires an aesthetic point of display and contemplation. He questions and makes visible the form of display and therefore relies on its near cancellation.

The website shows an index of all art projects. In each work the album is divided in categories, mainly focousing in the context and final proposal. Images in the context have been modified in two colors to distinguish them just like they do in the graphic identity.

The website was designed with the idea of making a digital portfolio, organaizing the projects as an index that is repeated in each category. The content manager can create, modify and remove projects (including images) in the two languages.

The project develops in the urban space and questions the cultural space. Within this framework, I designed seven wooden benches, each one located douring a week in various locations in Gràcia (district of Barcelona).

I documented in a website, the incidence of the benches inside and outside the exhibition space. The project concluded with the afterthought about the impact of the exhibition space, analising the multiple uses given to each bench. Project done at Experimentem amb l’Art.

The project consisted in asking 300 people what they wanted to see exposed in a specific museum. With the survey results, the art peace was made and exposed in the same museum.

The aim is to satisfy the maximum number of people with an exhibition in a public institution. The proposal seeks to reflect about the public economic support to the art world, showing the interest of the people and what institutions do.
